Student Retention and Graduation Rates

One-Year Retention Rate by Degree Level

Doctorate (PsyD) 91% (113/124)
Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) 88% (14/16)
Graduate Certificates 94% (15/16)
Master's 81% (79/97)
Bachelor's 60% (9/15)
Total 86% (239/277)

Notes:

  1. Retention rates include the Fall 2022 new student cohorts who retained in the same program during the next fall, i.e., Fall 2023.
  2. Analysis includes programs that are less than or equal to one year in length, e.g., certificate programs and some master’s programs. For these programs, the retained count includes those who were retained one-semester later or graduated within one year of starting the program.
  3. Both full-time and part-time students are reported

150% Graduation Rate by Degree Level

Doctorate (PsyD) 83% (102/123)
Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) 85% (17/20)
Graduate Certificate 92% (23/25)
Master's 81% (75/93)
Bachelor's 36% (4/11)
Total 81% (221/272)

Notes:

  1. Graduation rates track new entering students who completed their degree in 150% of time of the program length.  For example, if a program length took four years to complete for a full-time student, the 100% graduation rate would be within four-years, the 150% graduation rate would be within six-years.
  2. Unlike retention rates, reporting graduation rates from a singular entering cohort is not possible due to varying program lengths. Rather, the most recent entering cohort for each program eligible to graduate in 150% of time of the programs’ length is reported for the most recent graduation period, i.e., 2022-2023.
