School Psychology Concentration
School Psychology
Bridging Applied Behavior Analysis and School Psychology
Students enrolled in the MA in Applied Behavior Analysis program at William James College have the opportunity to pursue an optional concentration in School Psychology.
This concentration is ideal for those who are passionate about working with children and families and want to deepen their understanding of the psychological and environmental factors that influence learning, behavior, and mental health. Through this concentration, students will explore the role of the school psychologist and learn how to integrate school psychology principles within ABA frameworks.
As the responsibilities of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) continue to evolve, this concentration offers a valuable opportunity to expand your knowledge in school psychology and special education, and prepare you to make a broader impact in schools.
The concentration includes 2 on-campus courses (5-6 credits) from the MA/CAGS in School Psychology program.
The two required courses for this concentration exceed the credit requirements for the ABA programs. As a result, these two courses will be offered at no additional cost to students enrolled in the ABA concentration and certificate within this concentration.
Offered as part of the MA and Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis programs.
