In this role, she supported districts and schools to use data and research to improve
academic outcomes for all students. While at DESE, Kris led an internal racial equity
team to build the capacity of supervisors and school support specialists who provides
consultation and technical assistance across the state.
- Director of Leadership Development, Boston Public Schools
In this role, she collaborated with an array of central office leaders, school leaders
and partners to design and implement high quality, inquiry-based and well-organized
professional learning experiences for school principals. Kris also co-led a series
of sessions for managers of color concerning topics of race and equity. In addition,
she designed and implemented professional development which allowed Boston Public
Schools to achieve district-wide workforce diversity goals in 2017 and 2018.
