Dr. Nilda Laboy Receives Kenneth D. Herman, PhD, JD Career Contribution Award

Dr. Nilda Laboy received the 2024 Kenneth D. Herman PhD, JD Career Contribution Award from the Massachusetts Psychological Association.

Dr. Nilda Laboy, Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs and Chair of the Counseling and Behavioral Health Department at William James College, was honored with the Kenneth D. Herman, PhD, JD Career Contribution Award from the Massachusetts Psychological Association (MPA) on Saturday, November 2, 2024.

The Kenneth D. Herman PhD, JD Career Contribution Award aims to recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of psychology as a science and a profession.

As a psychologist, an educator, and a higher education administrator, Dr. Laboy demonstrates exceptional talents, expertise, and leadership skills as well as a high level of genuine care and compassion for the students, faculty, and communities that she serves. She has devoted her professional life and career to increasing access to culturally and linguistically responsive clinical services for individuals, families and groups that are from historically underserved communities.
