Transformative School Leadership
Be a visionary leader in schools.
This concentration is designed for graduate students in school psychology or applied behavior analysis who are interested in building expertise in what it means to be a successful and visionary leader in pre-K-12 educational settings. Students in this concentration will begin to develop the skills necessary to create conditions needed to influence equitable mindsets, engaged leadership environments, and effective educational practices.
Career Pathway Opportunity
After completing the MA/CAGS in School Psychology or the MA in Applied Behavioral Analysis, students may choose to apply their 5-6 credits to the Graduate Certificate in School Leadership and/or PsyD in Leadership Psychology program at William James College.

The two required courses for this concentration exceed the credit requirements for the ABA and School Psychology graduate programs. As a result, these two courses will be offered at no additional cost to students enrolled in the MA/CAGS in School Psychology or the MA in Applied Behavior Analysis within this concentration.
Curriculum Overview
Students who choose to create an Area of Emphasis (5 -6 credits) in the Transformative School Leadership concentration will choose two courses from the following course options:
- ORG LP707 -Shaping School Culture (credits: 2)
- ORG LP786 - The Psychology of Racism and Discrimination (credits: 3)
- ORG LP787 - Multicultural and Inclusive Leadership (credits: 3)
- ORG LP788 - DEI Interventions and Facilitation (credits: 3)
The concentration courses are taken in conjunction with your School Psychology MA/CAGS Program or the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) MA program. The above courses are offered online. You can begin taking these courses in Year 1 for ABA students and in Year 2 for School Psychology students.
