Dr. Robert Kinscherff Presents at the Annual Ohio Judicial Conference

Robert Kinscherff, PhD, JD presented to over 400 judges on August 31 and September 1, 2017 at the annual Ohio Judicial Conference in Columbus, OH. Ohio Supreme Court Justice Sharon L. Kennedy was instrumental in arranging for Dr. Kinscherff to present a plenary address on the implications for law and public policy of adolescent neurodevelopment, and an additional workshop on the impact upon adolescent brain development of substance abuse and exposures to childhood adversity. Kinscherff observed, “It was an honor to represent psychology as a field and William James College as an educator in presenting to the statewide judicial bench of Ohio. Judges make difficult decisions in individual cases but are also highly influential in shaping law and policy. It was an extraordinary opportunity to support judges in generating positive outcomes for individuals before them and for the communities where the judges live and serve.”
