Covino: Mental health care takes to streets

Mayor Marty Walsh recently announced he will fund four new mental health clinicians in next year’s budget in order to work alongside the Boston Police Department. In a recent op-ed, President Covino praised Walsh’s effort, emphasizing that similar efforts need to be made to combat the overwhelming shortage of mental health clinicians in the U.S.
