Students, Faculty Present at Harvard's T.H. Chan School of Public Health on Mental Health Literacy and Careers in Behavioral Health

On Saturday, April 13, students Adetutu Ajibose and Tania Jimenez, and faculty members Gemima St. Louis and Marc Abelard presented at the Annual Youth & Public Health Summit at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. The group presented on the topic "Mental Health Literacy and Careers in the Behavioral Health Field."

The Summit, which is an initiative of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at the Harvard School of Public Health, is designed to help young people from diverse backgrounds become more informed about the public health field and provide a unique opportunity for youth to interface with public health leaders, inspiring them to become future leaders. It also seeks to create a channel of communication and mentorship between young people and public health professionals and increase the diversity of students who enter the public health field, focusing on underrepresented minorities and low-income populations.
