William James College and College Unbound Announce New Career Path for Organizational and Leadership Psychology Students
William James College (WJC), dedicated to educating the new generation of mental health and leadership professionals through experiential education, social responsibility, and personal growth, and College Unbound (CU), an undergraduate college reinventing higher education for adult learners by accessing capacity for deep learning, announced their new partnership to provide a pathway for CU students, alumni, and employees to advanced degrees in Organizational Psychology and Leadership Psychology at WJC.
Based in Rhode Island, with additional sites in Chicago, Delaware Valley, New Jersey, Philadelphia, South Carolina, and Washington State, CU offers a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Change, which prepares students to continue their learning at WJC in the Master’s program in Organizational Psychology. This partnership provides CU students, alumni, and employees access to dedicated scholarships, a waiver of the application fee, a dedicated admissions counselor, guaranteed interviews with the program director and faculty, and an opportunity to participate in programs and seminars prior to enrollment.
“Through this collaboration, College Unbound and William James College are working to create educational pathways for adult learners dedicated to healthy culture and community at the heart of their education that will lead to dynamic careers in leadership and change management,” said Julie Elkins, Director of Online Education at William James College. “This partnership reflects William James College’s commitment to building and diversifying the behavioral health and leadership workforce throughout the country utilizing online learning to optimize access to education for adult learners as a springboard for advancing careers to meet the ever-evolving needs of communities.”
"We are very excited about the new partnership between College Unbound and William James College,” said Dr. Sylvia Spears, Provost & Vice President for Lifelong Learning at College Unbound. “It is grounded in shared values, the common goals of fostering leadership and organizational development that benefits individuals and communities, and a commitment to supporting students and their learning at the highest level."
Each semester, the first 15 College Unbound applicants for both programs will automatically qualify for a special scholarship - $14,000 for the master’s and $25,000 for the doctoral program. These savings will reduce tuition by 45% for the master’s program and 20% for the doctoral program. In addition, application fees will be waived for all College Unbound applicants, including alumni and current employees.
“We believe the framework developed by William James College and College Unbound will open doors to new experiences and life-changing career opportunities,” said Elkins. “This innovative partnership brings us one step closer to creating a seamless model for building a workforce that reflects the communities we serve.”
