Rethinking Fear
It's all about perspective
“If we are able to view [fear] as beneficial and as preparing us to respond effectively to whatever challenges we face, fear might be less debilitating in situations where there is no actual danger.” Fear and stress is often painted in a negative light, which can be detrimental to our health. Dr. Jason Osher, Director of the Neuropsychology concentration in our Clinical Psychology department, explored how changing our perception of fear and stress can improve our overall health in his recent blog post on Psychology Today.
