New MA in Criminal Justice and Behavioral Health

In August 2018, William James College will launch its Master of Arts in Criminal Justice and Behavioral Health program. This is a two-year, 36-credit, fully online and work-friendly program. The program draws on the expertise of the College’s already renowned Forensic Psychology and Counseling faculty and will focus on the mental health issues present in the criminal justice system, including prevention and early intervention; systems challenges; evaluation of outcomes; forensic mental health management; victimology, and diversion. The program will also follow the sequence from arrest through the judicial process to possible incarceration followed by re-entry and parole. Students will likely include individuals either seeking or working in the justice and correctional system as well as those interested in the intersection between mental health and criminal justice.
