Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology awards Dr. Michael S. Jellinek at 40th Anniversary Gala
The Newton Patch
On Wednesday, May 7, over 400 people will come together at the Seaport Boston Hotel for The Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology ’s (MSPP) 40th Anniversary Gala. This year’s Gala features an awards presentation for MSPP’s Mental Health Humanitarian Awardees, including Newton, MA, resident Dr. Michael S. Jellinek, who will be honored for his groundbreaking work developing the Pediatric Symptom Checklist, the most widely-used brief screening instrument that pediatricians use to identify children with emotional problems. The 40th Anniversary Gala focuses especially on how MSPP is helping to address the crisis in children’s mental health, which now leaves 60 percent of parents who need services for their kids without access.
