“We try to engage them in the conversation, so it doesn’t feel like it’s an expert telling them what to do,” said Nadja N. Lopez, on the new mother support group she leads at the Freedman Center for Child and Family Development. The Freedman Center was recently mentioned in The Boston Globe for creating a safe zone for new mothers.
