Dr. Taveira-Dick has worked in community psychology for the past 15 years. Prior to her graduate training, from 2003-2005 she worked as a Probation Officer/Juvenile Counselor for the state of Maryland. She received her clinical psychology doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University and completed her predoctoral internship in “Community Psychology” at Yale University School of Medicine. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Counseling and the Associate Director of the Military and Veteran Psychology Program at William James College (WJC). Dr. Taveira-Dick's leadership experiences include community reintegration work with veterans, practicum training for doctoral level students, and project implementation of two multiple year HRSA student training grants on substance use and Opioid Use Disorders.
