SCH RS600 - Statistics, Research, and Evaluation Methods I

This course provides students with an understanding of how empirical research and evaluation questions are formulated within educational research. Different approaches to educational research will be evaluated in order to critically evaluate these approaches and determine the best approach for a given question. Students will begin to work with basic statistics as well as standardized scores so that they can work with these data in the field. Ethical issues in data collection and working with clients will be discussed. Students will begin to be educated consumers of educational research materials.
