This optional course provides doctoral students at MSPP an opportunity to plan and prepare their doctoral project. The course examines how to start a topic, how to allocate time, developing a collaborative faculty team, reviewing the literature, understanding the difference between qualitative and quantitative research questions and selecting the appropriate statistics. The objective of the course is to have each student begin a literature review and to start to define a question that contributes to their discipline. Review of IRB submission and presentation is included.
