Students will apply the principles of applied behavior analysis and learn the practical details of behavior analytic assessment methods and behavioral interventions. This course will cover all of the 40-hour training requirements for the Registered Behavior Technician credential established by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board including, but not limited to, measuring behavior, conducting behavioral assessments, and implementing a range of interventions. Professional and ethical responsibilities in implementing behavioral interventions will also be discussed, such as documenting progress, receiving and providing supervision, and communicating with clients, caregivers, and supervisors. An internship in an ABA setting will provide supervision and practical experience in the topics covered in this course and is a co-requisite for this course.
