This immersion program trains clinical psychology doctoral students to support families affected by domestic violence in Asian communities in MA. Through collaboration with local organizations, students will learn to implement a trauma informed care, which applies Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Self-Compassion (SC) interventions. The curriculum is designed to develop students' abilities to foster resilience and cultivate value-based living among survivors, addressing the unique cultural and psychological needs of Asian families recovering from domestic violence.
