Student Ambassador: Jenna Carlson

Hi prospective students!

My name is Jenna Carlson. I am a full-time School Psychology MA/CAGS student here at William James. I am from Rhode Island and previously graduated with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Child Development from Southern New Hampshire University.

When looking for a graduate program, William James stood out in many ways. The field experience element begins right at the beginning of the program. This helped me to know that by the time I graduate, I will be confident in my abilities. Another area unique to this School Psychology program is that many of the professors are still working practitioners in the field. Having them as resources has enhanced my experience in so many ways.

My advice for new students would be to make strong connections with professors and use them as a resource. Everyone at WJC is extremely hands on and loves supporting students. The small cohort of peers in your year of the program will be your support system. Depend on each other!
