Hello! My name is Anna Juliano, and I am a student in the MA/CAGS School Psychology program at William James College. At William James College, I am a member of both the Mental Health Service Professional Program (MHSP) and the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Initiative (CAMHI). I grew up in Boxford, MA and I am currently still living there. I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2024 with a BA in Psychology and minors in both Education and Spanish.

I became interested in school psychology when a family member mentioned the field to me during my junior year of undergraduate school. After doing research, I really loved all of the different roles and responsibilities a School Psychologist has. No day will be the exact same and that is what made the job seem really interesting. This field combines many of my professional interests because I would like to provide support and resources to students and families in underserved communities by providing both mental health services and academic support.

The reason why I chose to attend William James College is because I really fell in love with the community during my interview day. All of the faculty members and current students were very welcoming. I love the feeling of the close-knit community and being able to build strong relationships with my professors and other members of my cohort. Also, I love that William James College puts students at a field placement site just a few weeks into their first semester. The combination of hands-on learning experience at my field placement and high-quality instruction in my classes have made me very excited about entering the field of school psychology.

My biggest piece of advice is to use the amazing resources and support systems offered to you at William James College. No question is too small to ask. All of the faculty members and your peers are here to support you. The faculty members at William James College truly care about you and want you to be successful in your graduate school journey. We are all here to support you in any way that we can.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have! I would be happy to help in any way!
