- U.S. Public Health Service Achievement Medal - 1994. In recognition of noteworthy
accomplishments in the performance of duty, in support of the mission of the Refugee
Mental Health Branch. Developed a database which allowed Branch personnel to triage
and track all detained Mariel Cubans who required inpatient psychiatric evaluation
and treatment, but who did not have a release decision from the Department of Justice.
