Lucas Silva, PsyD

Dr. Luca Silva is an alum of William James College's MA in Clinical Mental Health Program and the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program. He has accumulated considerable clinical training experiences with (1) imprisoned individuals, (2) adults with opioid use disorders and intellectual disabilities as well as (3) college students, children, and adolescents including justice-involved youth. He is also trained in motivational interviewing techniques.
Dr. Silva has gained substantial teaching experiences over the past six years including his role as a teaching assistant for Psychopathology, Research and Program Evaluation, and Career Counseling courses. Furthermore, for five years, he has served as a writing tutor and workshop facilitator for graduate students.
Dr. Silva will teach Professional Issues and Ethics, Research and Program Evaluation, and Substance Use and Addiction Evaluation and Treatment in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling programs.
